I could picture Idaho securing sector after sector, while Rebecca focuses on using some of these amazing technologies to rediscover agriculture and other survivability technologies.Īnd hell.all of this is assuming that the OMNIs were even telling the truth about any of it, of course. I think the two of them can accomplish finding Earth, or becoming rulers, or both, or even other options. After all, as mentioned earlier, her kindness was specifically mentioned. I don't think Idaho is the type to settle down.and I sincerely doubt Rebecca is the type to sit on her laurels while people are suffering. I know the ending sort of implies that Idaho and his wife will settle down somewhere.but in the ending it shows the two of them, weapons in hand, as a large door opens. And humankind, having long since lost the ability to survive on its own, is dangerously close to. The OMNIs, god-like machines which did everything for their human masters, have mysteriously shut down. She went to the same school, and was part of the same elite grouping as Idaho and their mutual friend. After 700 years of peace and prosperity, the Galactic Empire has suddenly been shattered into pieces. In fact, I got the impressions that in many ways, she is the equal to Idaho. Her kindness, in specific, is emphasized (more on that in next paragraph). Rebecca is described throughout the game as an amazing person. So, in a game with a possible "nothing" and a guaranteed "something", I chose the something as the best option.Īnd I think that was the best option. But you CAN go back and reawaken your wife. Everything else is a risk.you may or may not gain anything from your efforts. There is a CHANCE that you can strike out searching for a planet that may or may have living inhabitants.or even habitable.īut one thing is guaranteed. There is a CHANCE that, by becoming emperor, you might help humanity survive long enough to adapt. This was reflected in the end game choices as well. There is a chance you will succeed in any given action, a chance the store has the one upgrade or ship you need, a chance you will obtain enough fuel to continue forward. So, in essence, Crying Suns is a very much a game of risks. So I figured I'd contribute my two cents and which decision was "right".knowing, of course, that I'm probably very wrong. Okay, so there are hundreds of smarter people on here than me, each with sophisticated break downs of why each ending was or was not their best.
